Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary Thekkady has a picturesque view of lush green surroundings which will not just give you a reason to smile but also good pictures to capture. Spread over 357 square miles, the Periyar National Park is a tourist destination with diverse flora and fauna. The sanctuary is located on the banks of River Periyar, which offers some of the best wildlife sightings in India. The park is famous for its elephants and tiger reserve.

Tucked away between lush green hills covered by cardamom plantations, the unique location offers picturesque sights with awesome environments. The adventure seekers among you can also indulge in safari, rafting, and trekking. Two rivers – Pamba and Periyar run through the park and lend it a tranquil ambience.
