Trivandrum - 2 Varkala - 2 Kollam - Trivandrum
DAY 01 - TRIVANDRUM - VARKALA
On arrival at Trivandrum proceed to Varkala. Instead of the normal main road, we will be travelling through the coastal road. On the way, we will stop at Anchuthengu And Anjengo Fort built in the late 17th century by the East India Company. Later proceed to Varkala. Check in to your hotel. Evening explores the Papanasam Beach is believed to have holy waters. Varkala is well known for its pristine beach, backed by palm-covered red cliffs. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 - Full day visit to Jatayu Earth Centre
Jatayu Earth’s Center, also known as Jatayu Nature Park or Jatayu Rock, is a park and tourism centre at Chadayamangalam and has the world’s largest bird sculpture. Jatayu is a legendary bird from the Indian epic Ramayana.
You can reach the hilltop using a cable car. Many experiences await you in Jatayu Rock. It includes a museum and the 6D theatre inside the sculpture. You can also experience a hele-taxi from here. For more adventure people, this is your perfect weekend getaway. Enjoy a series of adventurous games in the backdrop of breathtaking views of nature. It includes Burma bridges, commando nets, log walk, vertical ladder, chimney climbing, or side Jolla and Paintball zone.
Day 03 VARKALA - KOLLAM
Morning visit the ancient Janardanaswamy Temple is a Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Vishnu and the Sivagiri Mutt monument memorializes the social reformer Sree Narayana Guru, who is buried here. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Kollam - the land of cashews. Also, visit the Varkala Tunnel which is a masterpiece of architecture. On the way to Kollam, you can have a boating in the backwaters of Kollam. Check in to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 KOLLAM SIGHTSEEING
Day 04 - You will be taken for a half-day village visit to Munroe-island. Named after the erstwhile Diwan of Travancore, Colonel Munroe, this Island ringed by the Ashtamudi Lake and the Kallada River, is a union of eight small islands.
Watch up close the peaceful life of the villages of Kerala while travelling in rustic country boats through the narrow canals of Munroe. View Village life, fish farms, Coir making, Toddy Tapping, and spice processing. The 'Kandal' forests in the Kallar river are awesome and very beautiful to watch. We could see a lot of birds in the thick 'Kandal' forest. Back to hotel Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 05 KOLLAM – TRIVANDRUM
Morning after breakfast, check out hotel, transfer to Trivandrum airport/railway station to catch flight/train towards onward journey.
